What else does Guild Wars have to offer you? Honestly, from what you've said, not much. Even if you do find something you like, you run the risk of having it nerfed by Anet in the near future. Then you have the sycophants out there who cry to Anet to nerf this or nerf that, then are perplexed as to why threads like this pop up.

Beyond that, its pretty much a crap shoot for the people you find left in the game. You're bound to encounter many immature people and unrewarding experiences. Such is the problem with a no-fee game.

So, honestly, find something else to play. Unless you're into lingering around watching something that used to be good wither away.

Everything gets boring eventually. I'm going to agree with those who say you should go play something else for a while. There are thousands of other video games around and you'll probably get bored with that and have renewed interest in GW in a few months anyway.

There's no monthly fee. Put the game down and go play something else if you're not having fun.

I'm not bored of it at this very moment, If i was bored i wouldn't play it...i'd find something else to do. Are you being forced to play this game?

You are one of thousands to come to these crossroads. The best you can do is find something to do in PvE/PvP or just give up on the game.

This game was designed to be PvP focused, so don't expect a lot of dynamics out of PvE after you've gone through it all.

I seriously think the best thing to do is keep a group of friends with a common interest and just have fun. I PvP in TA mostly with my friends and usually go after one PvE title after another once I get bored. I'm working on Vanquishing, TA, re-doing dungeons, and helping friends with HM missions.

I've been bored for ages with GW. I try taking breaks, but everytime I come back it is still boring.

I have tried lots of different games and RPG's, and nothing appeals to me GW initially did, and also like Morrowind and BG2, all of which I spent years playing.

I think I seem to be immune to whatever it is that used to make video games appealing to me, at least there is one game right now that I really really cannot wait for - Street Fighter 4, but it isnt released on PC untill later on this year.

I installed and started playing Super Street Fighter II and it seems to be entertaining me for about 30 mins a day, but it is so old and clunky that I cant play it for too long.

Tried searhing the net endlessly to find a copy of SSF2 Turbo HD, but it isnt available anywhere, all I managed to find was a petition to sign for it to be released on PC

Sooooo bored right now. Oh, I occasionally play a game of Civ 4, but that is also boring when I've been playing it for so long.

Meh, *Double clicks on SSF2 icon*.

Being bored of Guild Wars is much better than not being able to play. My computer shuts off.

Playing since retail release of Prophecies, I have taken breaks. Then too, I played WoW off and on. Always come back to GW eventually, though.

For me, GW is like the Hotel California, "you can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave!"

Variety is the spice of life, though. Even consider a new hobby that (shock!) does not involve video games!

You have 4 (if you count EotN separate from Prophecies) different areas to play through. Four different storylines. Even a couple missions that cross each campaign. Dozens of missions, hundreds of quests, over half a dozen different forms of PvP, and plenty of titles to work that require PvE and PvP.

If you are bored, it is definitely not due to the lack of content. It is you. Like some have said, take a break, or try something new.

If you're bored, go and play another game, any game, come back in a month or two or even three or more and you will probably be able to play again without feeling bored.
This exactly. That's the greatest thing about no additional fees after the main purchase. You can just drop it when you're tired of it, just like any other game on the market that doesn't have a monthly fee. Take a break and come back, try not to play GW alone, have more than one game that's appealing to you so you can spread your time over all of them.

If you stick to one game for too long you're bound to get sick of it.

PvE is getting to the boring point for me, but I'm starting to be an annoying pest about getting my guildmates into PvP (well, beyond pvp-lite stuff like JQ and AB :P).

Anyone really bored needs to just stop playing, try something new, and most importantly stop hanging around the forums going "LOL DEAD GAME LOL GUILD WARS!"

Most everyone in this thread has already hit the nail on the head. Just take a break and play some other games. Guild Wars was never designed to be played constantly like an MMO. Thats the beauty of the business model. You aren't "married" to the game. You are free to play what you want. Your account will be ready to roll with no hassle later on! I never get busy do to playing alot of DS games and some other RPGs like WoW and Final Fantasy XI. Almost every game out there has a free trial. Download a few and see which ones you like.

This.

GW is a game. Merely an RPG game, no different than Final Fantasy.
There just comes a time when you move on and try new things.

Here's what you have to do:

1) Stop playing under the excuse that the: "game is baaaad!" (<--Reinforce that whenever you can)
2) Come to the forum everyday to bitch about how baaaad the game is.
3) Act snobbish to anyone who still plays.
4) Play a "better" game and let everyone know at every opportunity.
5) ???
6) Profit.

Or you... you could just take a break.

i took a break for almost a year as the game got a little tiresome, have been back ingame since jan this year and theres so much that has changed im finding it fun again. am still with the same guild and that has grew with new fun peeps to hang around with

there are plenty of online games u can download if ur looking for new adventures without the cost, gw will always be here and still at the same point u left, you will loose nothing by taking a break even if it just for a few months

This thread is going to be baised. Most of the people who are bored with the game have already quit, so you will be lacking their responses on this thread for the most part.

So what your saying is, no-one should have an opinion outside praising GW's?

I'm getting bored of the game too, the titles left for me to get for GWAMM, are so boring and vanquing the same area umpteen million times is not fun (NOT FUN!), I love the game though, I still enjoy shooting the breeze with guildies etc. & helping out, it's just more fun to do that than get titles for myself. If I'm completely honest it was titles that made me lose a lil' faith in this game (made it grindy and like I was playing Flyff again :P)
